First day of School

This year we had 3 boys going to school. Michael in 5th, Gunnar in 3rd, and Jorden in Kindergarten. It was one exciting day.

Michael the big man on campus this year.

Gunnar just chillin before his friends showed up.

And Jorden the man of the hour. He was so excited to go to Kindergarten he has been asking me when it starts for the last 3 weeks.

Marler Family Reunion 2010

We had such a great time at Lake Powell here is the group minus the Jackson's, and the Volk's. The Jackson's left before the picture and the Volk's couldn't make it. But we all had so much fun. We skied, wake boarded, tubed, jumped cliffs, ate, swam, played in the water, built sand castles, played minute to win it, and some sign game (Arnie was the best at this one), volleyball, kayaked, and slept. It was great.

Here is some of the group just chillin while the kids are playing.

AJ and Axel the inseparable duo.

Scott, Stefany and Axel, showing off their fancy tricks.

Family volleyball game. Even the little guys played.

Marler Family Reunion 2010

This year at Lake Powell all of my boys got up on wakeboards. Here is JJ doing a flip.

Here is Michael catching some air. He really has improved since last year. It was so fun to watch him go in and out of the wakes and try to jump them.

Gunnar didn't want to be shown up by Jorden so he gave his all and had a very successful time of it.

Here is Jorden our youngest wakeboarder yet. We were so proud of his will power. He just wouldn't give up until he mastered it.

Axel even had to have a turn, here is JJ holding him on the wakeboard. Every time JJ went outside the wake Axel would say, "Please don't fall Daddy." How cute is that. And you know what he never fell. Daddy was amazing and Axel looked great out there.

Addyson's Blessing Day

On July 18th, 2010, JJ and my 13th anniversary, we blessed our little Addyson Rebecca. She was so good and quiet, in fact she slept through the whole thing. She was perfect. I just love having a girl.

Here is a picture of her whole dress. My mom and mother-in-law purchased this dress for her and I absolutely love it. I wish she had more occasions to wear it. Hopefully she will like it enough to keep for her daughter. Also the blanket she is on was made by her great-grandma Dollie Hawkins.

And here is our attempt at a family picture. Axel fell asleep and Addyson woke up and only wanted to eat so there was no cooperation from her.

Happy 8th Birthday Gunnar

Gunnar turned 8 this year. He was so excited!
Here he is with dad on his baptism day. He couldn't wait to be baptized. We are so proud of him.

4th of July

For the 4th we decided that even though it was Sunday we were still going to go and see the fireworks. I honestly love the spirit that you feel when you are with thousands of people that you don't know but are coming together for the same purpose. I love this country that I was bless to be born in and am forever grateful for the men and women that continue to fight for my freedoms every day. Here is Uncle Arnie with his captive audience. I am not sure what story he is telling them this time.

These are all but two of my parents grandkids. I love when we get them all together.

Here is my family with one week old Addyson. Even she was decked out too but it was too cold to show off her outfit.
This is my grandparents, now great-grandparents to 16.

Her is my mom keeping Addy warm.

Its a Girl!

New addition to the family:
Addyson Rebecca Campbell
June 25. 7 lbs 5 ounces 18 inches long
I can now be referred to as Addy's Daddy! My boys all dote over her, I feel sorry for the unfortunate young man who will attempt to date her in 16 years with these older brothers to protect her (Hopefully some of my boys will put some meat on their bones by then). Becky did great and pushed her out a la natural without any drugs. I am so proud of her because she did awesome. Her advice to anyone thinking about not having an epidural is "Take the drugs!" Mom and baby doing great. So here she is:

A new blog

Okay so due to a call to action from our Stake Presidency here in our area, and then the fact that I can't keep my mouth shut in front of my dad (Who happens to be in the Stake Presidency). I received a new calling, aka assignment, in our stake. Long story short, I am helping to add positive information about the church onto the internet. Because I already blog they thought I would be great at it. YEAH RIGHT!! But I am supposed to take the topic of the Book of Mormon and from a mom's perspective, journal about it. So I thought I would link it up onto my blog now so maybe you might check it out and tell me what you think about it. There are also other links to other sites that our stake is involved in. So if you are interested go to escondidomormons.com and then click on the Book of Mormon link, or click on the link to the right on my blog. I think it is pretty cool though. I originally got started with another blog site, but I am not ready to post that one yet. It has become more of my own personal journal. But maybe soon I will share that too.

The boys

I just had to add in a picture of my four boys. Aren't they adorable. This was post hair cuts for the older boys and pre-hair cut for Axel. they are so cute!!

And these two pictures are my sons just being themselves. What more can I say?!!

What I have been doing lately

So I realize it has been a month since I have blogged, so I wanted to share a few of the things I have been doing. On top of running my kids from school to sports practices and games and cooking up this little baby girl, I spend at the very least 1 and 1/2 days a week doing laundry. Yep, it really takes that long. My children seem to throw everything into the laundry even if it is clean.

I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen. If I am not doing the dishes, putting dishes away or just cleaning up from some meal, I am cooking another one only to start all over again.

And lastly I have been bow making. After all I do have my first and only girl on the way and I am loving it. This is a butterfly. I had so much fun picking out the ribbon and making it. Can you even believe it, me making hair accessories!!! Axel is my model as I don't have another little girl to try them on. And he actually loves it. Isn't that the cutest face he is making!!

Preschool Graduation

Here is Jorden at preschool graduation. He went to the San Pasqual High School Child Development Preschool. Basically it is the child development class at the high school. Each student is assigned a child and they play with and teach that student for the semester. Jorden loved going to school he can't wait for kindergarten to start in August.

Here is the big moment of receiving his certificate. Oh what a proud day!!!!

Superman

I just love this set of PJ's. It was first worn by Michael and has lasted through each of the boys. Axel loves to show off his muscles here to show how strong he is.

Here he is flying across the room.

And here he is tackling the bad guy. Yep, he is one cool, strong dude, that superman.

Was it made in the 1900's or something?

I have to record this moment before it is forgotten. A few nights ago I was sitting at the table with Michael and Gunnar. I am the cub scout leader so scouts is always a topic at our table in some form or another. The boys started telling me about this other young boy that they met who is working on getting his Eagle and wanted to know if you needed to be able to survive like Bear Grylls on Man VS Wild to get your Eagle. I explained what it meant to get your Eagle and what you had to do. Then I told them what their Uncle and Papa did to get theirs. Well my dad (Papa) made the flag pole that stands in front of one of our church buildings here. Michael proceeded to say this.. "Wow that flag pole is really old then. Was it made in the 1900's or something?" I couldn't help but laugh and told him that yes it was. So dad you are apparently old. However so am I as most of my life was and has been spent now in the 1900's. Kids are great!!!!

He did it!!

Lots of boys, lots of noise, then quiet. Why do I not go check out the situation? I am enjoying the piece and quiet of course!! Well I shouldn't have been. I walked into the kitchen to find a chair up against the fridge with a sit-n-spin on top of that. Someone really wanted something from on top of the fridge. On the ground was the egg carton which held the last six eggs we had, (which while at Costco today I didn't buy more because I didn't really need them, I had six after all) laying upside down on the floor with no more eggs in it. Where were they you asked? Well at this point I can only account for 3. Two on the floor and one in the fridge. Did I mention they were just egg shells, just the empty egg shells? Yep, however, who ever the culprit was he attempted to clean up. I also found amongst the egg shells two egg filled kitchen towels. What a good child I have! Now I asked one of my children who will remain nameless who might has done this. He told me it was Axel. So my 2 year old constructed a tower of doom, then proceeded to get out the eggs and even clean them up. YEAH RIGHT!!!!! So I ask the 2 year old, who got into the eggs? He proceeds to tell me it is Michael. I am afraid to ask Michael as he will probably tell me it was someone else, who will blame it on someone else and then we will be back to the 2 year old. I have decided that I really don't care, I am grateful they attempted to clean it up. And will now hopefully have learned my lesson once again that when it is quiet go check it out. Because unless they are all asleep, quiet is never a good thing.

Easter

We spent Easter morning with my family. Here are the youngest ones heading out for the egg hunt. It is so fun when they get to this age and are really excited about the holidays.

Grandma put 2 dollar bills in eggs for all the older kids and 1 dollar bills for the younger ones. She even put a golf day for the dads and a pedicure/lunch day for the moms. Yeah for Grandma.
Checking out the loot.
The best picture taken of the cousins. From left to right, AJ, Jorden, Aiden, Elliot, Riley, Gunnar, Michael, and Axel. Aren't they all so cute?

We had a great morning at Grandma and Papa's house. The food was excellent and the company even better. We finished off the morning watching General Conference and then headed up to JJ's family for yet another yummy meal and egg hunt. We are truly blessed to live by our families. And are even more blessed that we all get along so well and love to be together. I couldn't ask for anything more.
